These galleries highlight some of the artists and presses that Hill Memorial Library heavily collects. Many of these presses produce not only artists' books, but also broadsides, graphic prints, and sometimes we collect their printed ephemera, too.
Often times, a press or artist will issue a prospectus or send us in-depth information about the creation of an artist's book. We keep these materials, but they are not held with the book. Instead, they are placed in what is called a "Removal File." At the bottom of some catalog records, you may see a Local Note which describes what additional materials related to a title can be found in the removal file. Speak with a librarian to request these materials for research use.
