All ILL services are available. Requests for print and electronic journal articles and book chapters will arrive in about 24-48 hours. Requests for physical items will usually arrive in 1-2 weeks. Mail slowdowns and closures at other libraries may cause additional delays.
Return ILL materials to the overnight dropbox to the right of the entrance to the Main Library, or use the return slots in the library lobby near the south entrance. Returns will be quarantined for 48 hours before check in. You may recieve an automatic overdue notice for material you returned that is in quarantine and should disregard it. If you are unable to come to campus, return the material via the US Postal Service Certified or Priority Mail to the following address: LSU Libraries, Interlibrary Loan Rm. 241B, LSU Library, 58 Thomas Boyd Lot, Baton Rouge, LA 70803. Fill out the necessary information and hit "submit request".

Request materials not owned by LSU Libraries from other library institutions through your ILLiad account. Note: Whole e-books cannot be loaned through ILL, but chapters can be requested.

Can't find it in LSU Libraries? Is the book currently checked out? We can help you borrow books, articles, CDs, DVDs and more from other libraries. We can also provide scans of printed articles, book chapters, and microforms held by LSU Library to eligible patrons. Faculty members even have the option of having ILL materials delivered to their departmental mailboxes or having them held at the Access Services desk.
