Understanding your information need helps you choose appropriate information resources to use. In order to determine your information need,                        ask yourself a few questions.

• What kind of information do I need?

  • ​General knowledge (“who, what, why, how" questions)?
  • Specific clinical answers (diagnosis, etiology, harm, prognosis, or therapy/intervention)?

• How much detail do I need about the topic?
