LSU Digital Commons: Author Submission Agreement and Copyright

Copyright Permission

  • Posting at LSU Digital Commons does not change existing copyright for any content.
  • If content is copyrighted by a publisher or any other entity, then it should not be posted at LSU Digital Commons.
  • You may post a non-copyrighted version of content for which a publisher or another entity holds copyright.  This varies by publisher.  For example, an author may still have copyright for content that has not gone through a publisher's refereeing and copy editing.  Some publisher copyright agreements may, for some versions of content, require a link to the final edition.

Author Submission Agreement

  • The Author Submission Agreement is the first step for submission.
  • The Submission Agreement gives permission to LSU Digital Commons to distribute content.  One must own the copyright to content in order to give permission to distribute it.
  • If a copyright requires an embargo period, or has any other complex requirements, please contact the LSU Digital Commons administrator.
