LSU Libraries Programming Committee Purpose/Mission
The mission of the LSU Libraries Programming Committee is to foster community among LSU students, faculty and staff through educational, informational, and recreational programming. Programming promotes engagement with libraries’ resources and spaces, while facilitating employee interaction with the LSU Community. Interacting through programming encourages collaboration, creativity, and self-discovery for all participants.
General Charge
Facilitate the creation, implantation, and promotion of programs including exam week activities.
Build and maintain partnerships within LSU and local communities.
Promote the benefits of library programming and advocate for student wellness.
Encourage and support libraries faculty and staff to create and implement their own programs.
Inspire collegiality through internal, team-building programming.
Coordinate the monitoring and evaluation/assessment of the programming activities/programs offered.
