SimplyAnalytics is a powerful analytical and data visualization tool to create charts, reports, and maps. Access demographic, business, and marketing data from sources such as Nielsen, Dun & Bradstreet, and SimmonsLOCAL. Demographic variables include housing, employment, transportation, and families.
Create an account using your LSU email address or sign in as a guest.

Note: This database allows 50 simultaneous users.

Getting Started with SimplyAnalytics:

Create an account, using your LSU email address. You can also log in as a guest, but your work will not be saved.
When you first sign in to SimplyAnalytics, the program will ask you to search for one or more locations that you are interested in. You can always add more locations later.
Select one or more "seed variable". You can always add more variable later.
SimplyAnalytics will automatically create a new project providing you with four views: Map, Comparison Table, Quick Report and Ranking Table.
Use the drop down menus above the currently viewed map/report to change which locations and variables are reflected on your report, as well as the order reports are sorted.
Additional data variables and locations can be added by selecting them from the menu options on the left side of the page.
Use the buttons on the right side of the page to change the report view. Click on "New View" to add additional reports, such as Ring Study Table, Business Table, Related Data Table, Time Series Table, Bar Chart, and Scatter Plot.

This guide will demonstrate how to answer research questions using SimplyAnalytics in a step-by-step format.

Claritas PRIZM Premier Segments
Claritas PRIZM Premier classifies every U.S. household into one of 68 consumer segments based on the household's purchasing preferences, demographics, lifestyle, and media traits. These segments enable researchers to create a complete portrait of their target customer or audience.

View either by Lifestage Group or by Social Group.
Click on individual segments to get a snapshot of the segment, including demographic traits, lifestyle & media traits.
Select "Narrow Segments" to build your list of segments that meet the requirements of your target demographic (such as age, education, income, etc.)
You can then select these PRIZM Premier segments within SimplyAnalytics to see what percentage live in your selected location.

If you create maps and reports in SimplyAnalytics and incorporate them in a website, research paper or PowerPoint presentation, you will need to cite the information in APA style. Here are some examples of how to do this:
